Kiyomi: Merry Christmas 2013

The colors here could have easily clashed, but they don't. That's because you managed to take similar cool colors and add them to different parts of the format. By putting the 2 complimentary colors blue and orange together, the eye immediately zooms to the subject.

You know how to use space here and I get a sense of atmospheric perspective here as you go from dark and sharp colors to more pastel in the background. Even the snow looks different from foreground to background and that is something to be commended.

One recommendation though would be careful with the intense blue of that scarf because it's almost too bright. I do think though you did that on purpose though so the figure wouldn't blend in with the background. Also, her left arm (the one that is lowered), it looks to be floating. So I don't know what your intent for it being positioned there. Other than that, this is a very lovely piece of work.
